Front Room Theatre Weston: New season starts next month Join us this September at ‘Front Room Theatre’ in WsM for

Last month volunteers Diane (Team Leader), Joanne (Literacy Specialist) and Sue (Coordinator) attended the Mayor’s Reception in Weston and received a Certificate of Recognition for the dedication which their group Read Easy North Somerset demonstrates in delivering its free, one-to-one service for adults who struggle with reading. 

The Donate For Defib WsM Project promotes the need for publicly accessible defibrillators in the community and the importance of learning of CPR / Defibs. The Dynamic Duo of Doctors take the ultimate plunge for charity. This challenge entails swimming a kilometre in the freezing waters of both the Arctic Circle & Antarctica, in nothing more than a conventional swimsuit and cap where water temperatures are likely to range between -1°C and 4°C.

The fantastic total of £3,525 was raised at the All 60s/70s Night in aid of Weston Hospicecare on Friday 10th May at Weston super Mare Football Club.

A big thank you to everybody that attended on the night.

Foundations Up Construction joined a team from Sweet Track Counselling to complete the Somerset 100 Cycle ride on the 19th May to raise awareness for their low-cost counselling services. Wedmore Friends Of Weston Hospicecare 13th April Fashion Show Raises £1.961.23. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported this event. 

The Donate For Defib W-s-M Project has installed 3 further defibrillators for venues in Weston super Mare over the last month. A defibrillator donated to the project by BEESWIFT Ltd, has been given to the Community Response Team in Weston, this defibrillator will also be used on the MavisBus when in operation.

An Only Fools and Horses fundraising evening is being held at the Tropicana on May 10th, to raise funds for defibrillators, tickets on sale soon.
