We are Weston Woodturning Circle and we meet at the Football Club in Winterstoke Road, BS24 9AA every 3rd Thursday of the month from 7:00pm until 9:30pm. We are a very friendly club and welcome all new visitors to come and take a look at Woodturning, maybe for the first time. Once a member we offer free lessons and the free hire of some equipment.

The Weston-super-Mare Macular Society local group covering Weston, Clevedon, Winscombe and surrounding areas meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 10:30am to 12:30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall, Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare BS22 8HG. The meetings are for anyone affected by central vision loss AMD wet or dry. Come along to socialise, share experiences, swap strategies. There are talks by professionals offering advice on appliances to help, by useful organisations such as Vision North Somerset. Friends and carers most welcome. Cost £3.

North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together (NSPCWT) are the local forum for parent carers to children with additional needs/disabilities.
On 23rd October, their largest SEND Event, held at Priory Community School will be in full flow!
Parents, Carers, Family Members & Professionals are all welcome to attend & benefit from the many exhibitors, training workshops, keynote speakers, drop-in clinics & an inspiring performance!

Action Pussycat and the award winning Mad 4 Animals are bringing a thrilling family show to St Georges Community Centre this October Half Term.

Homemade cakes, pies, preserves, crafts and gifts and tea and coffee will be available.

Garden Organic is looking for volunteers to join its friendly team of local people who believe composting is a practical, easy way for everyone to help to restore health to our soils, reduce energy consumption and save money.
North Somerset Master Composters aim to raise awareness about composting, advise those who find it all a bit mysterious, and inspire people to give it a go.

Weston-s-Mare & District Family History Society present a talk about ‘The history of notable and famous women of the area’.

The talk by Jane Hill will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall on Wednesday 9th October 2:30pm – 4:30pm. Members £1.50, guests £2.00, which includes Tea/Coffee/Biscuits.

The North Somerset Hard of Hearing Social Group meets on the 1st Monday of each month 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Conservative Club, 24-26 Alexandra Parade, Weston super Mare BS23 1QX. If you have a hearing impairment come along and socialise, swap tips and strategies, attend day trips and and activities. Replacement hearing aid batteries available. Cost £4 including refreshments. Weston-super-Mare u3a… Fit for the future… October highlights

Saturday 5th October: Our drama group presents at Kewstoke Village Hall at 2:00pm. £5 tickets at the door.

Friday 11th October: Lecture on using magic to teach, by Richard Ballanger. Open to non-members. Starts 2:15pm at the United Reformed Church with £2 admission.

Friday 25th October: In URC at 2:00pm. Free entry to all to our annual Open Day.

You will be sure of a warm welcome at our Saturday coffee morning in our old and beautiful Church hall in the centre of town – Emmanuel Church, Oxford Street, held on the first Saturday of the month – the next one on 5th October. People of all ages and walks of life can come together for a meet-up of friends and to make new friends from 10:30am until 12:00 noon.
